As part of the Metallix company mission, we’re dedicated to establishing transparency with our customers. That’s why we provide you with the information — updated pricing on each metal, blog posts, white papers and more — you need to make an informed decision when selling your gold, silver or platinum group metals.
Taking this a step further, we want to introduce you to the personal side of our company, and feature the team members who deal directly with both our Metallix Refining and Metallix Direct Gold customers. Our hope is that you feel more connected to the company and those who make our daily operations possible.
Q&A with Micki Woolley:
1. What are your roles/responsibilities at Metallix Refining and/or Metallix Direct Gold?
As the assistant sales manager, I “bridge” management and the Metallix Refining precious metal scrap buyers. I manage the execution of projects within the sales department, and report back to the sales manager. I actually spend a good portion of my time elbow-deep in data…lots and lots of data.
2. What is your favorite aspect of working at the company?
Every day is something new and different. One day I might be researching fuel cell technologies, the next day it’s finding contacts at high-end jewelry retailers. I get to peek into so many different worlds and never get bored.
3. Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what are their names?
I have a cat named Gypsy. We HAD a fish named Elmo that disappeared recently. Unless it grew legs and walked away, I suspect that Gypsy had something to do with it.
4. List one fact about yourself that most people don’t know about you.
I am the captain and coach of a roller derby team.
5. What is your favorite sports team?
Red Bank Roller Vixens, of course! With the NY Yankees coming in second
6. What is your favorite holiday? Why?
Halloween. It’s the only holiday 100 percent dedicated to having fun. No big meals to prepare, presents to buy or traffic to fight. You just dress up and scare each other, and the kids get all sugar-crazy. Everyone in the neighborhood is out walking around enjoying the evening; it’s like a huge block party with chocolate!
7. If you could have a super power, what would it be? Why?
Invisibility. The possibilities for both pranks and cat burglary are literally endless.
